South Auckland police are investigating two houses following the death of a 10-month-old baby girl.
The girl was taken to hospital from a Manurewa address on Sunday.
She has died in the interim, though police would not confirm when.
Police said in a statement that their investigation is on behalf of the coroner to determine the cause of death and circumstances surrounding it.
A post-mortem was to be held later today. .
Detective Senior Sergeant Sue Schwalger said all family members connected to the death were cooperating.
"This is a difficult and sad time for those involved."
