New Zealand aid agencies are calling for cash donations to help with relief efforts. More than $350,000 has already been raised.
New Zealand Red Cross appeal:
- Make a secure online transaction at www.redcross.org.nz.
- Send cheques to New Zealand Red Cross, Samoan Appeal, PO Box 12 140, Thorndon, Wellington, 6144.
- Call 0900 31 100 to make an automatic $20 donation.
Financial donations are the best way to assist.
100 percent of all money donated will go directly to the appeal.

Caritas' Pacific Tsunami Appeal:
- Phone 0800 22 10 22 to make credit card donations.

- ANZ (NZ) Samoa Appeal Fund: donations can be made at any ANZ branch to account number 01 1839 0143546 00. ANZ Banking Group kick-started the appeal with a $122,000 donation.
