One of these things is not like the others

tcvRight, one of these mini news headlines is completely made up, totally not true and, like, so ridiculous that you should be able to guess it immediately.

First person to do so wins a Seven Pounds polo shirt, and an Eastbound and Down beer holder. You'll be all set for summer.

- The entire Them Crooked Vultures album is streaming on YouTube, and is ridiculously awesome. I feel sorry for other bands because there's no way they can be better than this.

- The winner of yesterday's competition is someone who calls themselves 'Henstep'. A copy of Nirvana's remastered Bleach is winging its way to you as we speak.

- Aerosmith are breaking up. No, they're not, they're looking for a new singer. Er, actually, everything is fine and dandy in Aerosmith's crazy little world. Guys, sort it out.

- At some stage today, and in a bizarre pop culture icon moment, I will be meeting MC Hammer and watching him perform U Can't Touch This, karaoke style. Actual.

- A Chris Knox tribute album is coming out and it will feature 35 tracks including The Checks, The Chills, The Mint Chicks and others. This news recently featured on Pitchfork.

- Tom Cruise is leaving Scientology behind because he believes the religion has moved away from its core values. Er, what?

- The sequel to {REC} - the awesomely scary horror movie in which a movie-goer reportedly pooed their pants in Auckland after a screening - opens this week. You should see it.

- So does Roland Emmerich's 2012, but you should probably skip this one.

- Stone Temple Pilots are planning to record a new album. After Alice in Chains' recent triumph, I'm quitely excited about this. Please bring it to New Zealand though.

So that's today's news wrap. Which one is fake? Enter below...

Definitely Tom Cruise. But you're not going to give me the prize anyway after my comments after Nirvana yesterday.

And yes the TCV album is ridiculously cool. So far my favourite tracks are Elephants (possibly the best track intro ever... start with cool riff, then play twice as fast), and Scumbag Blues. Also Warsaw, which could possibly have been subtitled "Ode to Drunken Pirates Lurching About Yaaaarrrr!".

I'm going to go with Tom Cruise leaving Scientology.

I'm going with it being none of them....

I can't wait to get the TCV album and play Reptiles as loud as humanly possible. Album is so sinister. And Yes I feel sorry for every other rock and roll band right now.

I think you've been lying all along to us about how much you love muffins. Just admit it.

Am I right?

I imagine it's the one about the Them Crooked Vultures album being so good.

Whereas it's ok, but not world-beating by any sense of the imagination.

Them Crooked Vultures album sounds amazing. I don't understand how anyone can't see how great it is. For once I am actually excited about the release of a "supergroup" album. They normally disappoint but this one blows my mind!
