Check out the best links of the week

Last updated 13:08 19/02/2010

liam1. Liam Gallagher's Brits spat: The former Oasis singer struggles to understand the meaning of the word 'thanks' as he throws a microphone into the crowd, and then his trophy, after winning the best British album of the past 30 years. Gratitude, huh?

2. Trailer: Defendor: Woody Harrelson can do no wrong lately, and here's another example of his underplayed genius as a real life superhero called - yep- Defendor.

3. Under Great White Northern Lights - The White Stripes: With Meg not really playing much at the moment, this live DVD release is as close as we'll get to them live for a while. Should do the trick.

4. Alison Mau's gossip mag rant: Don't you love it when the tables turn on celebs and they can't hack it?

5. Jack Bauer man crush: This guy likes Jack Bauer just a little too much.

6. Trailer: Toy Story 3: It's been a long time but the toys are back, this time in 3D. Due out July 1.

7. Shake - The Game: Whoa, The Game's getting playful

8. Megan Fox in Armani: Here's her new commercial. But you've probably already seen this.

9. Trailer: Boy (extended): If you liked the '80s, you're going to love this. Here's the extended trailer for Taika Waititi's new film with more references to the '80s than a Boy George outfit. It hits cinemas March 25.

10. Don't Dream It's Over - Faith No More: Faith No More covered the Crowded House classic three separate times at their Auckland show last night, and threatened even more. Weirdos.

Three times is a bit much, but I gotta say, from what I've heard on that clip, FMN do a darn good cover of Don't Dream Its Over. It sounded awesome.

Its amazing that Oasis stayed together for so long with Liam Gallagher being as bigger knob end that he is. someone needs him to remind him that he is not Jesus, that noel wrote 90% of their songs. and that he is a blatant John Lennon rip- off. I look forward to his solo projects being dismal and being panned. and in turn him having work as a chippie for the rest of his life!

Don't have a link but google "Huey Lewis I am the world". Great parody since no one from the original were involved in the new "We are the World. Classic!

I like the response of the Brits host- Peter Kaye- after the Liam Gallagher incident...just looks down the camera and says "What a Knobhead". He says what we all were thinking....

SpaceMonkey   #10   02:58 pm Mar 02 2010

Yep... Liam Gallagher is a knobhead... I mean what's with all the faux-angst? It has to be in the music industry. Rock and roll is meant to be anti-establishment but the moment it became a corporate business, anyone accepting an award for anything is just part of the "system", and any behaviour like Gallagher's becomes comedy.
