Eight-year-old Charlotte Armon will share the limelight with English singer-songwriter James Blunt this week.
Courtesy of The Breeze radio station, the Hibiscus Coast resident will help breakfast show hosts "The Robbies" interview James Blunt when he arrives in the country on Wednesday morning.
Charlotte is preparing all the questions for the interview, and has 15 minutes to chat with her favourite musician she says is "the coolest".
The opportunity came about after Charlotte emailed Auckland's Langham hotel asking if she could use her pocket money to book herself and her mother Kate Armon a hotel room for the night of the concert.
The Langham replied saying that if Charlotte could gather $120 then they would be able to book the room.
After checking her computer's emails, her mother was moved by her daughter's action.
"It was the sweetest thing I'd ever seen."
She then decided to write to The Breeze breakfast hosts, letting them know what Charlotte had done for her.
She asked if they could get James Blunt to give Charlotte a shout out during the show, as a way to pay her back for the hotel.
The Robbies replied and gave her the even better news that they wanted Charlotte to meet the singer and help them interview him.
"I was like a baby, I couldn't stop crying down the phone. I was in so much shock my body was shaking", said Armon.
Charlotte's obsession with Blunt started when her mother would sing his songs to her as a new born.
"Ever since I was pregnant with her Charlotte's been exposed to his music, it's only natural she loves him."
Charlotte also runs her own arts and crafts business where she makes and sells a range of hand made items including; bags, Ipad covers, scarves, hats and sunglasses cases.
Her entrepreneurship is what enabled her to raise the money for the Langham hotel suite.
