Motorists are facing long delays on Auckland's Southern Motorway around Manukau this morning.
At 11.55am the NZ Transport Agency said the left lane citybound had been cleared after being blocked by a broken down truck.
However, it warned motorists that traffic was still heavy at Manukau.
Further north on the Southern Motorway, the left lane citybound on the Newmarket Viaduct was reported to be blocked, with traffic at a standstill.
At 12.05pm the Transport Agency said all lanes on the Newmarket Viaduct northbound had been cleared, but traffic on the motorway was heavy north of Mt Wellington.
Earlier this morning the Transport Agency said the motorway was down to two lanes at East Tamaki.
The NZ Transport Agency said at 8.30am the breakdown was blocking the left lane at the beginning of the northbound East Tamaki offramp.
WEST AUCKLAND TRAFFIC
West Auckland motorists face delays this morning, with a fire causing the closure of a busy road.
The NZ Transport Agency said at 9.40am that Makora Road has been closed while emergency services dealt with the fire.
The left lane of the Royal Road offramp from the North Western Motorway was also closed, and motorists were advised to use alternative routes.
