A 10-year-old boy has been taken to Starship Hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car in West Auckland.
St Johns spokesman Norm Ngatai said emergency services were called to the scene between Rua Rd and West Coast Rd in Glen Eden around 3.35pm.
"On arrival the patient was assessed as having serious injuries and as a result he was taken to Starship," he said.
No-one else was injured.
