Burnt toast evacuates Auckland International Airport
Auckland Airport was evacuated on Wednesday morning on account of burnt toast.
The ground floor of the international terminal was evacuated just before 6am, duty supervisor Steve Falko said.
"It was caused by burnt toast in an agency's lunchroom."
Staff and passengers re-entered the building by 6.30am "after our emergency services had investigated and made the affected area safe", Falko said.
