Man treads water while help arrives
A man who spent around 20 minutes treading water has been rescued from the Waitemata Harbour.
He was wearing a life jacket.
Police were alerted to his plight on Saturday and rescued him shortly after noon.
The man had become separated from four other men who were also in the water and wearing life jackets.
According to witness accounts, the other men made their own way back to shore.
A St John spokesman said the man was assessed and taken to hospital in a minor condition.
