Man charged after bank robbery
A man has been arrested and charged for allegedly robbing a bank on Auckland's North Shore yesterday.
Detective Inspector Stan Brown confirmed a 39-year-old Whangaparoa man was arrested last night.
He will appear in the North Shore District Court this morning on charges of aggravated robbery.
It is alleged the man entered the ASB branch in Mairangi Bay just before 11.30am yesterday where he pointed a black pistol at a teller and demanded money.
He was carrying a black backpack and left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.
Brown said the money and a firearm were found at the same address as the man.
