A helicopter has made a forced landing in a forest south of Auckland this afternoon.
Police said the chopper had not crashed, but had come down in a "low-flying training area" in the Whitford Forest, south east of Auckland city.
Another helicopter had arrived from Ardmore airport to take the two onboard back to the base, Inspector Ian Brooker of the police northern communications centre said.
An ambulance was called but not needed, police said.
Police will cordon the area in case an aviation investigation was needed.
