Two men, aged 20 and 22, have been charged over the aggravated robbery of the Mobil Service Station on Northcote Road at 12.50am.
Police said the men stole cash and property from the lone staff member working.
No shots were fired but the worker was shaken by the incident and received assistance from Victim Support.
A 22-year-old man was arrested for allegedly stealing money from a bread truck driver at Northcote shopping centre about 2am.
The driver was also seen by Victim Support.
The trio were tracked to a nearby Northcote address by a police dog and his handler.
