Police are searching for a mentally disaffected teenager who went missing from a Point Chevalier park today.
Jaimil Sahem was last seen by his caregivers just after 12pm when he left to go to the toilet block at Walker Park.
The 15-year-old was described as a male Fijian Indian dressed in a cream hoodie with the brand name Puma on the front. He was also wearing navy, blue and white striped knee length shorts and black sandshoes.
Police said he walks with a pigeon-toed gait and has an obviously deformed arm.
There has been one unconfirmed, but probable, sighting of Sahem at the intersections of Great North and Mt Albert Rds around 1.15pm.
Police say the teen is not familiar with Auckland's western suburbs and believe he may be trying to hide.
Anyone who has any information or who spots the teen is asked to ring police on (09) 571 2800.
