A couple who were killed when the car they were driving collided with a campervan south of Auckland have been named.
Mohamed Mohamed Suhaimi, 26, and his wife Raihana Rashid, 25, died instantly on Friday afternoon at the scene of the accident, on State Highway 2, near Mangatawhiri.
Counties Manukau police said the occupants of the campervan escaped without injury.
It has been reported that the couple were on honeymoon from Singapore. The victims' families are currently working with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the High Commission of the Republic of Singapore to bring the bodies home.
