Dalai Lama plans Auckland visit
The Dalai Lama will hold a public talk when he visits Auckland in June next year.
He will visit Auckland, Dunedin and Christchurch from June 10 to June 12, the Dalai Lama Visit Trust New Zealand said today.
Dalai Lama Visit Trust New Zealand spokesman Neil Cameron said last time his holiness was in Christchurch he received "several" requests to return.
"He indicated he would. My experience from his holiness is if he indicates he will, he does."
The venue and ticketing details are not yet known, he said.
The Dalai Lama last visited Auckland in 2009, and it will be his seventh visit to New Zealand.
He was in Christchurch in June last year to offer prayers and support following the February 22 earthquake.
He would also be visiting Australia, Cameron said.
