A bank robbery in South Auckland could be linked to an armed robbery at a TAB a week earlier, police say.
Officers are investigating a possible connection between the two incidents, with the first one at a TAB on Somerville Rd, Howick, at 8pm on July 13.
Two men with a sawn-off shotgun demanded money from the attendant and stole watches and wallets from customers, a police spokeswoman said.
They are believed to have escaped in a waiting car.
Last Friday police think the same two men robbed the Mangere Kiwibank on Yates Rd about 11.45am.
They were handed an undisclosed amount of cash and fled in a car driven by a third man who waited outside.
Police are yet to release descriptions of the men or the car used but want to hear from anyone who has information about either offence.
