Police won't release the name of a Chinese woman found dead on the grounds of the North Shore AUT University campus until they have finished notifying her family members in China.
The middle-aged woman's body was found by students at around 1.20pm yesterday next to a gym on the campus, near an ornamental garden.
Detective Sergeant Scott Armstrong said police were not treating the death as suspicious.
"There are some issues with notifying family overseas before we can release the name," he said. "We have notified immediate family and some family in China but not all."
A post-mortem will be completed tomorrow.
