Brazilian man on rape charge
A Brazilian barista charged with raping a 16-year-old girl and indecently assaulting a woman has appeared in court.
Roberto de Lima appeared in the Auckland District Court today on two charges of indecently assaulting a woman in March.
He also faced charges of indecently assaulting a 16-year-old, sexual violation by unlawful sexual connection and rape after an incident on April 7.
The 32-year-old was remanded on bail to a Lynfield address on the condition he does not associate with the two complainants or the four witnesses.
He was previously asked to relinquish his passport.
De Lima will reappear in the court on October 10.
