Boat crashes into breakwater
Three people escaped serious injury after crashing a boat into a breakwater at the Gulf Harbour Marina in Auckland last night.
The Coastguard was called to the scene of a boat out of the water and leaking fuel just after 7pm.
Coastguard duty officer Peter Seymour-Nash said the vessel hit the breakwater, settling on top of it.
''It's high and dry and there is a fuel leak. They've come out of the water and fuel is leaking,'' he said.
St John ambulance staff treated the skipper for minor injuries.
It was not known if alcohol was a factor.
