Police have found a second car used in an armed robbery at a West Auckland bank on Friday.
Security staff were held at gunpoint as they walked back to their van from the ASB bank in Lynfield about 6.20pm on Friday.
The two robbers, described as men wearing overalls and disguised by masks, stole a container believed to be filled with cash.
The men, who were armed with a shotgun and an assault rifle, fled the scene in a silver Nissan with the registration EBH925, which was later found by police in Orcades Pl, Lynfield.
Yesterday police recovered a car they believe was used after the Nissan was dumped.
The Mazda Atenza, registration FRF359, was found abandoned in Waterview.
A third man driving the getaway car was described as Maori or Polynesian in his early 20s of heavy build.
The Lynfield bank was the target of another armed robbery on July 30, when two armed men entered the bank before fleeing to an underground car park.
A 30-year-old man later appeared in court charged with aggravated robbery.
Police want anyone who saw the robbery to call Detective Mark Greaves at Avondale police on 09 820 5631 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
