Two people have been injured, one seriously, in a two-car crash at a major South Auckland junction.
Police were called to the intersection of Te Irirangi Dr, Botany Rd and Ti Rakau Dr at 9.30am.
A police spokeswoman said the driver of one vehicle was trapped in their car and has been taken to hospital in a serious condition.
The fire service cut the driver from the vehicle.
The driver of the other car involved suffered minor injuries.
The intersection was expected to be closed for at least an hour while the scene is cleared.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area.
