Two men have appeared in the North Shore District Court charged with the murder of West Auckland man Lee McMurdo.

Andrew Parry Nicholson, 24, and John Grant Cuthers, 26, together face 21 charges including murder, conspiring to supply methamphetamine, offering methamphetamine and stealing a car.

The judge suppressed the images of both men and remanded them in custody until December 5.

West Harbour resident Victoria Anna Jackson, 20, has also been charged in relation to the case.

She faces six charges including conspiring to supply methamphetamine with Cuthers, offering to supply methamphetamine and supplying methamphetamine.

Jackson was remanded on bail also until December 5 with the conditions that she surrenders her passport, possesses no alcohol and does not use a mobile phone. She must not contact Nicholson or Cuthers.

McMurdo was found dead by his daughter Lateasha, 12, at his rural home 10km south of Helensville on July 29. It is believed he died on the morning of July 27.

The 32-year-old was last seen alive on July 26 at 1.40pm and police have previously said they think his death may have been an "unintended consequence" of a burglary or a debt recovery attempt.

At the time of his death McMurdo is believed to have been dealing MDVP or "bath salts" - a party drug that has had violent side effects on some users overseas.

He had previously been charged with growing cannabis.
