A Tegel chicken processing plant in Auckland has been evacuated after an industrial oven caught fire.
Firefighters were called to the plant in the suburb of Henderson about 6.15pm, northern communications shift commander Scott Osmond said.
About 25 firefighters with eight trucks were at the site, using dry powder and carbon dioxide flood systems.
Osmond said the plant had been evacuated, and the fire was now contained.
There were no reports of injuries, he said.
