Musician appears on assault charge
A well-known New Zealand musician has appeared in court charged with assaulting his flatmate.
Graham Brazier, frontman for Hello Sailor, appeared at the Auckland District Court yesterday charged with assaulting Joanne Wild.
Wild, a hairdresser, has also been charged with assaulting Brazier using a light fitting as a weapon.
The pair live on Dominion Rd. Both were bailed to reappear in court next week.
The alleged assault adds to Brazier's legal woes in the past month. On October 7 he pleaded not guilty to assaulting his former partner Toni Aitcheson.
Brazier last took to the stage less than two weeks ago appearing for Hello Sailor in Ponsonby for the Gluepot reunion tour.
The band formed in 1975 and released their self-titled debut album two years later.
