An elderly woman has been injured after a two-car crash in Ponsonby this afternoon.
Police were called to the intersection of Karangahape and Ponsonby roads about 3pm.
The woman was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital. It was not clear how severe her injuries were.
Witnesses said the intersection was closed, causing a backlog of traffic, while emergency services cleared the scene.
