Power was cut to more than 2000 South Auckland homes this morning following a fault.
A Vector spokeswoman said a feeder fault at a pole on the corner of Wellington St and West St, Papakura, cut power to the area at 9.24am.
The spokeswoman said 2162 customers lost electricity, but Vector anticipated restoring power to at least 2000 of them before 10am.
The fault was fixed at 11am.
