Police are trying to track down two French twin sisters so they can return lost property to them.
The tourists, Rose and Evelyn Luce, arrived in Auckland on November 8.
Police want to return property to them before they return home.
Their whereabouts are unknown.
Police believe the twins may be staying at hostels, backpackers or motels and want anyone with knowledge of their whereabouts to call Orewa Police on 09 426 4555.
