Suspected WWII bomb found

A suspected World War II bomb was found by a South Auckland resident this morning.

Police were called to Otahuhu after a man alerted them to the relic just after 11am.

Police north communications said a cordon had been set up on James Fletcher Dr but could not confirm whether the Defence Force had been called in to handle the extraction of the explosive device.
