Person pulled from house fire
A person in Auckland is lucky to be alive after being rescued from a burning two-storey house by their neighbours.
Fire Service was called to the blaze in Rukutai St, Orakei, about 9.45 last night.
Fire Communications spokeswoman Nicole Bernard said neighbours had already pulled the single occupant from the house when they arrived.
The person had significant burns and was taken by ambulance to the burns unit at Middlemore Hospital in a serious condition.
Fire Service is still investigating the cause of the blaze.
