Fears are mounting for a three-year-old girl who has been missing with her mother for almost a month.
Police said Toni Reihana, 41, and her daughter Keyana had not been in contact with agencies since the beginning of November.
Police wouldn't reveal what agencies were involved with the family or say what contact was required of them.
Police believe Reihana may be in hiding in West Auckland or visiting extended family in the Hokianga region and are increasingly concerned for Reihana's welfare and that of her daughter.
Several inquiries have failed to find the pair.
Police urge anyone who knows where the pair are to call Constable Alison Wilson at Henderson police on 09 839 0608 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
