A man who robbed an Auckland bar at knifepoint this morning got away with $2000 cash.
Senior Sergeant Gary Barber said the robber entered the Roundabout Bar and Brasserie on Campbell Rd in Royal Oak around 10.30am and confronted the duty manager with a knife.
Once shown to the till, he took $2000 in cash then demanded to be taken out the back. However, the duty manager pushed him off and he ran away.
Barber said police lost the man in the crowd.
