The death of a north Auckland woman found washed up at Arkles Bay last week was not suspicious, police have said.
Katherine Bennett, 60, was found on the shoreline at the beach on January 7.
Police said "significant resources" were used to investigate how Bennett died as it was initially unexplained.
Detective Senior Sergeant Brett Batty said police spoke to a wide sector of the community and received "valuable information" which helped them determine the death was not suspicious.
Batty would not comment on how Bennett died as that was now subject to a coroner's hearing.
