Tennis legend Andre Agassi will pull double duty during a whirlwind trip to Auckland tomorrow.
The Grand Slam winner will be at Paper Plus Newmarket from 11am signing copies of his autobiography, Open, for about 45 minutes.
He will also be the guest of honour at a gala banquet at the Langham Hotel in the evening.
Paper Plus' Lyle Hastings says the tennis star's timing is perfect after Auckland's busy summer of tennis.
"With the game front of mind for so many people, it's the perfect time to meet the tennis great and enjoy his autobiography."
Open topped the New York Times Best Seller list on its release in 2010.
As well as the signing and the chance for a quick photo with Agassi, customers will have the chance to win one of two double passes to the exclusive dinner with the sports star during his time at the bookshop.
The evening event will include a three course dinner, a speech by Agassi, and a live audience interactive question and answer session with the player.
Agassi turned pro at 16 and was the first men's singles player to win all four Grand Slam titles and an Olympic gold medal. Over his 20 year career he won 869 matches and earned 60 men's singles titles.
