A man has died after falling overboard a 42-metre luxury yacht which recently arrived in Sydney from Auckland.
The body of the man, believed to to be aged in his late 20s or early 30s, was pulled from the waters near Glebe Island Bridge on Friday.
The boat, named the Calliope, is now anchored in Blackwattle Bay.
Two people were treated for severe shock.
Specialist forensics officers will examine the boat.
The Calliope had been cruising in the Hauraki Gulf over the summer period.
It is a 42-metre tri-deck motor yacht that was built in the Netherlands and used for cruises in the Caribbean and Mediterranean in 2011.
According to the boat's website, the ship ''combines state of the art technology, a chic and comfortable interior and five-star service''.
The boat can carry 10 guests and has 10 crew that regularly sails around the world.
A post-mortem examination will be conducted and a report will be prepared for the NSW Coroner.
