A fire in shrubbery alongside the South Western motorway is causing traffic headaches.
Senior Sergeant Hirone Waretini said the fire was in bush near the Neilson St off-ramp and had caused smoke to billow across the motorway.
High winds meant there was a risk of the fire spreading, he said.
Three fire crews were attending the scene.
