Two Glenfield residents have been left "extremely shaken" after an armed home invasion last night.
North Shore Police are investigating the incident which occurred at a house on Seaview Rd about 11pm.
Detective Sergeant Scott Armstrong said at least two people arrived at the house unannounced and an altercation occurred with the occupants, during which time a firearm was discharged. The offenders then fled in at least two vehicles, one of which may have been a stationwagon.
Armstrong said the occupants of the house were "uninjured but extremely shaken".
An investigation was in its early stages and police would be at the house for most of today conducting a forensic examination.
Police are seeking information from members of the public who may have been in the Seaview Rd area and who may have seen the incident or the vehicles leaving the area.
