A man who was trying to climb over a metal fence slipped and impaled his leg on Auckland's North Shore this morning.
The Beach Haven resident required emergency services to release him from the fence. He was taken to North Shore hospital with moderate injuries.
A St Johns spokesperson said it was unclear what the man 's reason for climbing the fence was.
