Photo journalist Peter Grant is bringing the vibrant colours of Pakistan's busy streets to Devonport this month.

Mr Grant's 20-year career has taken him all across the globe but it was his time spent in Pakistan that ignited a fascination with the vibrant tradition of truck art.

His latest exhibition Painting Pakistan Proud at the Depot Artspace in Devonport will showcase 18 years worth of photographs.

Devonport is the last stop on a nationwide journey Mr Grant has embarked on in his colourful campervan Artie - the 39-year-old vintage ambulance has been decorated in Pakistan truck art style by Karachi artist Younus Nawaz.

The mobile exhibition has made its way up the North Island visiting town centres, galleries and schools.

Painting Pakistan Proud will be at the Depot Artspace in Devonport until Wednesday June 19.

Visitors and students to the exhibition will even get to try their own hand applying truck art to a mug or plate with painting workshops.
