Fire crews have been called to a classroom blaze at Pakuranga College in Auckland.
Fire communications shift manager Jaron Phillips said a 10m by 10m prefab classroom was "totally involved" in fire when their three fire crews arrived about 10.45pm.
Phillips said fire didn't appear to be in any danger of catching other buildings alight and he were confident firefighters would be able to bring it under control.
He said a fire safety investigator had been called but it was too early to say what the cause of the fire was.
