A link to Auckland airport is now available around the clock, with the Airbus Express expanding its services to run 24 hours a day.
It is hoped the expanded services will ease travel pressures for visitors and domestic or international passengers.
Auckland Regional Transport Authority general manager of customer services Mark Lambert says this will be the first 24-hour, seven day public transport link to Auckland airport.
"This is especially important not only for the domestic market but also in preparation for the Rugby World Cup."
Airport chief financial officer Simon Robertson agrees this is great news, both for travellers and the 12,000 people who work in the airport vicinity.
"The continual improvement of access to and from Auckland airport is a key regional and national priority and the strong growth in demand for Airbus Express is a pleasing sign that more travellers value this excellent service."
Airbus Express managing director Philip Manning says additional improvements to the service will be made. See www.airbus.co.nz for departure times and locations.
