FISH DISH: Wrap your laughing gear around this!

Mayor Len Brown has made an early start getting his hands on some of the great cuisine being showcased this weekend on the waterfront.

The Auckland Seafood Festival is being run from January 28 to 30 at Wynyard Quarter overlooking the Waitemata Harbour.

Organisers promise a smorgasboard of the country's best fish dishes, music and entertainment.

All profits generated through the annual event go back into the community and over $340,000 has been donated to various organisations since it started in 2006.

This year's proceeds go to Kiwi Can, Sustainable Coastlines and Rotary.
