The Laneway Festival is going to get even bigger as organisers prepare to name six new acts joining the line-up.
At 9am every Monday for the next five weeks, a new artist will be announced - in total there are five international acts and one local performer to be added to the festival scheduled for Auckland Anniversary Day in January.
The first new addition is Norwegian band Kings of Convenience. It will be the first time the band has played in New Zealand.
Kings of Convenience join the likes of Bat for Lashes, Yeasayer, The Phoenix Foundation and Lawrence Arabia, who have already been confirmed for the one-day festival.
Newly crowned Mercury Prize winners Alt-J will also perform.
The Laneway Festival started in the back streets of Melbourne and first crossed the Tasman in 2010. Since then it has taken place in three Auckland locations - Britomart, Aotea Square and its new home, Wynyard Quarter.
WHEN: January 28
WHERE: Silo Park, Wynyard Quarter
