Auckland City Football Club have landed in Japan and are warming up for their first FIFA Club World Cup clash.
The team will first take on the J-League division two side Matsumoto Yamaga FC in a friendly match at Tokyo's Olympic Training Centre tomorrow.
The warm-up match is a good test to see what they are capable of ahead of their game against J-League champions Sanfrecce Hiroshima on December 6, head coach Ramon Tribulietx says.
The champions won't be easy beats but the team are hoping to take their game to another level, he says.
Tribulietx was named the Sport Auckland Coach of the Year at the Sporting Excellence Awards in Auckland last night.
The FIFA Club World Cup tournament runs until December 16.
