Models will stop traffic in the inner city as they strut down New Zealand's longest catwalk.
A section of Queen St, between Shortland and Wyndham streets, will be closed on March 8 so that a 125-metre-long catwalk can be installed as part of 10 Days of Fashion in the City.
The free show kicks off at 1pm and will see 40 models parade down the middle of the street wearing 80 in-season outfits.
Other events include Britomart Fashion Sessions which features six fashion shows over two days. It opens today at 1pm with free standing entry to see designs by Trelise Cooper at the Atrium on Takutai, Britomart.
Tomorrow kids can dress up for a fashion-themed storytime at the Central City Library from 11am.
