Two men convicted of kidnapping and repeatedly raping a women will each spend more than a decade in prison.
Mt Roskill men Abdinor Abdi, 29, and Mohamed Bashir, 26, were sentenced on November 22 at the High Court in Auckland after being found guilty at trial of rape and three counts of being party to rape.
Abdi was also found guilty of abduction and threats to kill.
He has been jailed for 16 years with a minimum non-parole period of eight years.
Bashir has been sentenced to 15 years with a minimum non-parole period of seven-and-a-half years.
The pair were part of a group of African men who met their victim at the 24/7 Bar on Karangahape Rd on June 4, 2011. The 44-year-old woman was abducted by the group and raped multiple times that day and the next.
The other attackers have not been found.
