Police carried out a scene examination of the Freeman's Bay address.

The death of a central Auckland man has been referred to the coroner.

The 52-year-old was found dead at a Beresford Street Central address by a friend on Saturday morning.

A police spokesperson on Monday confirmed there did not appear to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

A neighbour who did not want to be named said adults live in the house, not children, and that they were "nice people".
