Canadian musician Dan Bremnes has followed the sun to the Southern Hemisphere to play a free concert later this month.
Mr Bremnes is an award-winning artist who has wowed audiences all over the globe.
Last year he was chosen as a grand prize winner of an international singing competition and won awards for Male Vocalist of the Year and Music Video of the Year at the 35th annual Covenant Awards in Canada.
His first full-length album Your Strength was released in 2010 and has received wide radio play across Canada and Australia.
The Follow the Sun tour brings Mr Bremnes downunder to play a concert in Mt Albert next weekend.
TEAR Fund event organiser Gavin McCulloch is thrilled to be bringing the acclaimed artist to New Zealand.
"We are exceptionally excited to have such a talented and inspirational artist come to our shores," he says.
"Dan is a breath of fresh air, and we love his passion for his art form as well as for the work he does, bringing to light the issues impoverished children face all around the world."
As well as performing his music Mr Bremnes will share his experiences from his recent trip to the Dominican Republic where he was able to meet his sponsor child, Wander.
The Follow the Sun concert is on January 26 from 10am at Mt Albert Church at 732 New North Rd. Entry is free, however donations are welcome.
