Buy a Book at a Bargain

Here is a week-day gem that's worth popping in your diary if you are an avid reader.  The Central Auckland Library is holding a book sale from May 21-27. The library sells off a wide range of books, CDs, DVDs and magazines twice a year so that there is room for fresh stock on the shelves.  This means those of us out there in the market for a bargain can pick up goodies for cheap, as most items are priced at $1 or $2!

When: Monday-Sunday May 21-27
Where:
Ground floor, Central City Library, Lorne Street.

Crack up at the Comedy

The NZ Comedy Festival is in it's final week, so if you haven't seen any acts yet, this weekend's the time to do it! Catch New Zealand's own Ben Hurley and Steve Wrigley Live and Unleashed on Saturday night at Q Theatre, or see Scottish performer Janey Godley down the road at the Classic. There's some funny people out there, so head out and see them in action. See http://www.comedyfestival.co.nz/ for acts and times.
