Feast on a dish of Fish

Every Friday is TGIF night down at the Auckland Fish Market. If you're in the mood for some artisan foods and a touch of live jazz, then this could be the perfect spot for you to kick start your weekend. It's also just along the way from the Silo Outdoor movies, so why not combine a spot of dining with some entertainment.  This week's movie is that old 80's classic The Breakfast Club.

Take in Tribes

Silo Theatre's latest offering Tribes opened to high praise last week and is set to run at the Maidment for the rest of the month. This play promises to deliver a blisteringly funny and heartfelt experience, which sounds pretty spectacular, so you should think seriously about heading out and watching it! Fall into Dance Fusion

Rasta Thomas's Rock the Ballet is currently being performed across the bridge at the Bruce Mason Theatre. This production fuses classical ballet technique with a variety of other dance types like hip hop, tap and contemporary dances. This show goes way beyond the normal dance experience, so if you're in the mood for something a little different head along and check it out.  See the website for times and prices.

Enjoy a Comedy Caper

The Pakuranga Comedy Club is featuring Urzila Carlson, Andrew Clay and Pax this Saturday at the Ye Olde Bailey pub on Ti Rakau Drive. The hilarious line up is sure to provide a lot of laughs as they are a talented bunch.  Carlson features regularly on TV3's show 7 days and Clay has been a fixture on the NZ comedy scene for over 20 years. If you're in the mood for a giggle, then this is the place to be.
