Panmure Community Christmas Parade and Festival, December 1

There will be Christmas music in the street from 10.30am.

The Ruapotaka kapa haka group will perform at 10.55am and the parade will start at 11am.

The fun continues after the parade with free activities for the children from noon to 3pm. There will be a rock climbing wall, vertical bungy, a bouncy castle, safari rides, face painting and a steam train in Clifton Court.

Remuera Christmas Festival, December 1

Santa will also call in to Remuera on December 1, as part of a day of festive activities for shoppers to enjoy. There will be free entertainment with roving musicians, a Christmas Candy Land and wine and food tastings. See for the programme.

Ellerslie Santa Parade, December 2

Ellerslie's main street will be taken over by Santa and his helpers on December 2 at 11am. All the local schools, kindies and community groups will be there. Comedian Mark Wright will be the MC. Hugo the Donkey will lead the parade in a nativity group. There will be five bands in the parade and a swing band will perform in the town square. The Queen will be there too!

Santa comes to Glen Innes, December 8

Be in Mayfair Place Town Centre from 10am till noon on December 8 to meet Santa. There will be live music, a bouncy castle, face painting, Mr Whippy icecreams and plenty of giveaways.

Christmas in St Heliers

There's lots happening in St Heliers village in the lead-up to Christmas. Look out for roving musicians, free face painting and the Reindeer Hunt - entry forms are at the library. You can take the kids to meet Santa outside the library on December 15 from 10.30am till 11am.

Community Carols on the Green, December 9

Come along to Vellenoweth Green, St Heliers, for a free community carols concert. The evening begins at 5.45pm with a performance by the Glendowie College Jazz Band. Choirs from local schools will perform, as will the Bay Singers and cheerleaders from St Heliers school. A community choir will lead the audience in carol singing. If you would like to be part of the choir on stage, phone Raewyn on 521 4651. Two practices will be held and the choir will sing 10 well-known Christmas carols.

A collection will be taken for Plunket on the night and of course Santa will be there too.

Parnell Christmas Party

There will be a party for the Parnell community at 327 Parnell Rd on December 14. Santa will be there from 5.30pm.
